Workplace Gender Equality Agency – Employer Statement 2024 Reporting Period

Creative Australia champions and invests in arts and creativity for a dynamic, creative Australia. We are committed to fostering and sustaining a diverse and inclusive workforce and to achieve equal opportunities and outcomes for all employees regardless of gender.

We have been recognised as an Inclusive Employer by Diversity Council Australia for the fourth consecutive time (2019–2026).

Between the 2023 and 2024 reporting periods, Creative Australia reduced its median gender pay gaps significantly. Median total remuneration decreased from 13.6% to 4.8%, and median base salary from 12.1% to 6.9%. Both median measures are below the public sector comparison group.

These results indicate stronger pay equity outcomes across the organisation.

75% of our workforce identify as women. The majority of our employees are covered by a structured classification framework with fixed pay points prescribed in our enterprise agreement. This supports consistent and transparent remuneration practices.

Average pay gaps remained broadly stable. In smaller organisations like ours, a limited number of senior roles influence average pay gaps.

We monitor gender pay outcomes annually and review workforce data to support fair progression, representation in senior roles, and equitable remuneration practices.
